Hi,

You’re visiting the archives of a project put on by students of Vassar College. For six months of their lives, 20 students (give or take) blogged about daily happenings on Vassar campus and around the world.

About one month ago, the site went offline, due to a decrease in the number of people blogging, a disintegration of the blog’s former ideal (which was to provide a wide array of viewpoints on a wide array of topics), and consequently a large dropoff in the number of daily hits.

What we realize though is that it was a mistake to take this site down, because it was not a mistake that we came together to write. We were genuinely inspired to make the project work, and to negate all that we did for six months of our lives would be foolish.

So now, the Blog9 Archives are open for the general public. Most of the YouTube videos that had not been previously migrated from our old site are now available for your perusal; some are lost forever.

We are hopeful that you will appreciate this site for what it was – a student-run blog. So yea, that probably means some mistakes were made, some toes were stepped on, and some egos were hurt. That said, we hope that you visit this site at least once a month to reminisce about what was for most of us our freshman year.

Finally, as this is now an archival site, comments have been disabled. If you’d like to send something to the writers of Blog9, you may do so by e-mailing theblog9.com@gmail.com.
